Can you believe it? JAM Kids House just celebrated our 7th anniversary! It feels like just yesterday we opened our doors, and we couldn’t let this special milestone pass without celebrating with the most important people of all—our little ones.
To mark our seventh birthday, we wanted to treat the children to something fun and uniquely local. We started our morning with some energetic outdoor play in the garden, making sure to get all our wiggles out before the April sun got too hot.
Just as playtime was winding down, a familiar tinkling bell announced a very special surprise. We had arranged for a local Thai ice cream cart to pull right up to the nursery! Seeing that colorful cart arrive was pure magic for the kids, and their faces instantly lit up.
It was incredibly sweet to watch them practice their patience. They formed a neat little line and eagerly waited for their turn, their eyes wide as they pointed out the exact flavor they wanted. Letting them choose their own treat is a small but wonderful way to encourage their independence, and they were all so proud to place their “orders.”
After a loud, happy chorus of “Khop khun khrap/kha” and lots of tiny hands waving a big goodbye to our wonderful ice cream lady, we knew it was time to escape the midday heat. We brought the whole crew inside into the cool air conditioning so they could sit down comfortably and actually enjoy their ice cream before it melted.
It was a calm, happy, and slightly messy end to a wonderful morning. Thank you to all of our amazing families for being part of the JAM Kids House journey over the last seven years.
